Jason is in second place going into tomorrow!
JMark... SS ran in somewhat damp conditions on Sunday, so the overall times aren't indicative. Our runs were in rapidly drying conditions. Later on, once it was totally dry, Falkner was able to run a 44.8 on the Sunday course during the PAX challenge (after competition.) (I had a 45.3 slightly damp)
I don't think we'll be going to SS anytime soon. However, if they do the stock re-org, the chances are good for us to end up in the new A-Stock (previous SS) rather than B-Stock (previous A-Stock.) It's still too early in the season to tell.
Thanks CG! And thanks again for babysitting... Swaybar wasn't enough on Saturday. The ashpalt runway was oily from planes taking off, and it was very slick. The Saturday night rain washed the oil off, and the car stuck well on Sunday. Saturday I was fighting/correcting the car all the way around the course. Sunday I could confidently throw it around. So with a more adjustable bar we could have likely taken G.H. There's still plenty of season for that!
Oh... and the guy listed with the NX2000 changed classes when the NX broke. He codrove in the #73 S2000. Also, Tom Lombardo ran Steve Volpp's M3 after their EP Civic broke. 22 Cars when we couldn't get 5 last week! Sheesh!

FWIW Ron & I ran our S2K here locally Saturday on very very wet nasty dirty asphalt and the car was a royal pain in the butt with the Comptech bar. Pushed like a pig, I was about to drive the car off a cliff I was so freakin pissed at it. Hated it, swore at it, kicked it, POS! "I'm gonna sell this piece of junk!" (my typical thing to say when the car pisses me off to no end... luckily Ron doesn't believe it any more...)
Nothing we did with pressures or shock settings could overcome the small tree known as our front bar. A local guy in a boxster and another in a MR2 Turbo creamed me by a second (I usually soundly beat them) which is a pretty good indication it wasn't ONLY my cruddy driving... Ron and I both placed MUCH further down in PAX than we did at our first rain event (the one just PRIOR to the Comptech bar).
Sunday we had a practice on the same lot, same course, totally DRY conditions, did some testing and the car felt great. I took off about 14 seconds by the end of the practice (about 6 or so additional runs) compared to my runs on Saturday. Yes, 14 seconds - a 64.1-ish in the wet to a 50.6 in the dry. Well, 14 seconds but took out 8 bazillion cones... oh, our poor paint, you could hear it cry.... I think I had a 52ish clean, can't remember. But that's when Ron was saying I wasn't being "agressive" enough...
If there's a rain event for one of the national level events we'll be putting the Mugen bar back on, for sure, until Comptech gets done with the adjustable one. This one's just too much for the rain... but amazing in the dry
So I have a sneaky feeling your guys' problems on Saturday were primarily bar related...
