Me, and colin, and collett still have working first gens.
Agree on the keeping stock clutch, this experiment has been a great big fail

Colin's broke before Nats last year, IIRC.

Those might just be the casting marks. Hard to tell from here.

My dsq was from having the wrong number on the car... distracted with getting the rear bar back on and shock adjustments.

Really wish the clutch didn't break so I could try the car WITHOUT trailbraking...

Fun as always Robert!

Damn that's hot. How in the world are the lips on your wheels so much deeper than mine? I only have a 2" lip on my +64 offset wheels.

Thanks. My backup stock diff is going in the car tomorrow but this really makes me wonder whether prosolos are worth it. I launched at 8k and the car just bogged, the rear hopped and that killed the diff (what actually broke ill find out tomorrow). I'm going to do the Nj pro on my stock diff but I think I may not launch.
This is what I was telling you guys. Launching on big Hoosiers kills S2000 diffs when the clutch is upgraded from OEM. Went through two diffs in one season (one was Comptech capped). Then went for the R200 housing (which isn't BSP legal). The pinion gear is this tiny little thing and teeth just shear off it.

This is what it looks like when that happens:

How has the R200 held up? This is basically the letter I wrote to the SCCA ... allowing non-performance but reliability modifications to the diff. Their response - "outside the intent of the rules/class." After seeing this, I feel going straight to SSM where I can build a tranny and diff that can handle abuse.

I hope you stick with BSP for at least 2013, Marc.

Yeah, SP seems like a strange purgatory in the world of solo.
