Car is tuned
haltech flex fuel is amazing. It works flawleslly and the car feels silky smooth! We picked up about 15hp at the top but we made an additional 40hp and 35 ft/lbs at 5900. The e85(really more like e70) was good for about 5-10hp and 3-8lb/ft. We also removed about 80-100lbs from the car. Has anyone purchased a cr tonneau or cr replica tonneau? I like the look of it. We will have another event in the car this weekend and well see how it goes!

The reference to Haltech flex fuel is the special sensor and the auto profiling the Haltech provides. Sweet feature. Not sure if the haltech shows you a measurement for the fuel which is where he might have pulled the E70 rating from.
Yeah, I'm aware of the Haltech flex fuel. I was going to do the same but wait until May when e85 is available at the pump but it looks like I'll have to switch earlier if everyone's already going ethanol this early in the season. Just wasn't sure what part of that gain was from just getting tuned in general vs getting tuned on e85 (or e70 which I suspect is what was available at the pump)
The car made 5-8hp across the board with e85 over pump. The midrange gain was over baseline with the stocks ecu. There was about 5ft/lbs across as well. The peak HP was only a few more but the big gain was from 4200 to 6500 and then a steady difference to 8600. Also a big difference in power under 3000. The car makes just under 150 HP at the lowest point. The haltech sensor works very well and the tuner who is one of the top aem/haltech tuners in the country and he was very impressed with the setup. It was the first one he's done as the software hasnt been available for long

If you want to keep it simple you'll have to run e85 all the time. Just get a set of injectors take the car to the dyno empty or on very little fuel start with a 93 base map to make things easier and then pour in e85 and start adding fuel and tune. I thought I saw somewhere that hondata had a way to support flex fuel sensor through an input but not sure if only on the kpro or the flash pro too. BTW after discussing some things with the tuner we will likely making some more changes later on and finding more power. I'll try to get video of Greg and I this weekend
Yeah, I'm trying to see if I can get my car tuned on E85 before the NJ Pro. My problem is sourcing E85 (true E85). I may see if I can order C85 from VP Fuels and have it shipped to Evans Tuning directly.
It does a decent job at compensating but at first the table for compensation needs to be properly adjusted if not it will be lean every time you add more e85. Once you have your compensation tables setup then it will compensate as the percentage of ethanol changes
