Yeah, stick with the stock pads. Changing the brake fluid made a huge difference for me in pedal feel and braking. I found the stock pads easier to modulate. I used to run carbotech ax6s upfront, and they have great initial bite, but I noticed that I could not get them to modulate the way I would like them to for autocross, so I was overbraking, when all I needed was a light scrub.
As for aligment, stay with 0 toe upfront to even a slight toe-in for better transitional bite. as for the rear, I would say anything in the range of -2.0 of camber to a max of -2.2 is all you need. Anything more than that will cause the rear end to not want to rotate, and will ultimately push. if you're running a ginormous (I know it's not a word) bar upfront, inch your rear toe closer to almost zero toe, but 1/8 is a good starting point.

The BHP pads I have on my car are absolutely sick. Karl has them too.
They dust a lot and squeal - but my god they are great.
BHP isn't around anymore though sadly...
I've heard good things about a new(ish?) Raybestos ST compound from my buddy at BHP though
