rotor wear
i was HPDEing at lime rock last week using a new set of RacingBrake 2 piece slotted rotors (stock size) with hawk DTC60 (front) HT10 (rear) on V710's. after one day, the rotors wore down through the slots.
i ran DTC70 before without this problem on stoptech oem rotors and i thought DTC60 is less abrasive. racing brake told me that it's likely because the stock size rotors are too small and that they are working on a BBK with science of speed using stock calipers with larger brackets. would a BBK really make that much difference on the s2k, or is my problem related to something else, like bad braking technique, bad calipers, front/rear pad combo, etc.? thanks.

that is just not right.
I would be talking to the manufacture of the rotor before I went any further.
there is no way you should wear through rotors before the 1st set of pads.

I've never worn out a set of OEM rotors. They always fail by cracking. And never in a single event, but I don't seem to get 6-8 from them either (usually).
