per ATS on the carbon LSD:
- Its initial torque is moderately set and the initial torque level lasts much longer than the metal LSD, but the locking performance is as strong as the metal.
- Carbon LSD has a mild transitional characteristic which enable the driver to start acceleration earlier than the metal LSD.
- Gentle transition to locking also provides a better acceleration control at the apex point.
They also say a metal plate diff is faster with a pro driver, just not as easy to drive.

No one I was able to find has tried both. I went for a 1.5 way ATS Carbon.

Part of Tony's oversteer issues are thought to be his metal plate 2 way Mugen Diff (this is coming from TCKline who drove the car on Saturday at MidOhio).

Who knows. SlickRick uses a Kaaz, IIRC.

BTW, I've been told there are several Solo National S2000 guys on 2812.
I haven't seen an S2000 running high-end Konis for ages other than the ex-Goeke car, although I admit I haven't been looking under S2000s this year. Not to say they wouldn't work well, but this claim's a bit dubious.

Yet you continually complain about getting beat on by civic hybrids this season...so you have multiple threads about what you can do to improve your lap times. So far you've talked about spending money on wheels, on a diff, on a counterfeit Mugen intake, etc.
but i actually haven't spent any $ on anything so far. My car is exactly as it was last year except for a mugen header and a new shortblock (which was a repair, not an upgrade).

I am not big on spending $$$$ to win. It is more fun (i guess) to be able to get used parts that suck and still win.

I was posting looking for cheap ways to go faster.....nothing was cheap enough.

Ok, I had a chance to ride in Jeremy's S2000 with 2812 at Tracquest event in Mid Ohio. Combination with tires, brake pads and the suspension, the car handled amazing.

Good luck to your race Jeremy. Bunch of us will be there on Saturday to watch.
