About the Belt contact area topic, Spoon makes a shorter belt for Race setups that has been tested in their own race cars which obviously dont run AC. I will be running it in our S2K race car and havent heard any issues regarding slippage.
About the weight reduction,
I have to say well done for the most part about basic part removals, and would like to add that if your S2K is a track only car like ours and you have removed all the things mentioned in this thread then there is only one thing left to replace (without cutting and drilling into your chassis) and is something easily overlooked THE DOORS. You can get a set of carbon doors from either ASM or Seibon (for the budget friendly alternative) and rivet on some lexan or polycarbonate side windows.
That will reduce the total weight of the car considerably, and the removed weight is from the center of the car so it doesnt upset your weight distribution. Not only are the doors heavy but also the glass, window motor, Window brackets, and of course the speakers and the inner door lining with ancillaries.
AGAIN i will mention this Obviously is for track S2K's only!!!

yeah spoon engineered a special belt using r-compound rubber so its more stickey and works better.
