1) $1800-$2000 for the spec shocks is a pretty high bar for entry.
Remember, price is not yet set. It could be significantly cheaper.

Keep the specs as close to dead stock as possible so an option would be to go buy another car (used or new) for the series. Modifying yet another car would be a pain and expensive.

The only difficulty with a spec series today is that just about every current tracker has already modified their cars out of any simple specs, so a huge barrier.
Untrue at all. Most modded S2k I've seen on the track can be returned back to stock in a day. Not difficult in the physical aspect but if we are to take a step forward we have to stop pleasing everyone with a CAI or an exhaust to join.

Any intake/exhaust combo, driver preference.

Everyone run the shock/spring combo.

No wing.

Driver against driver.

I'll be really impressed if even Go-Fast can get them below $1500...and still that is more than twice the cost of Konis.

The wing and the bump steer I dont agree with... the wing isnt much use on most of our tracks and the bump steer isnt used by many right coasters so I havnt tried it yet

Arguably, it is also more than twice the potential of 600 konis. Tough choice..

Instead of saying what can be removed just set a minimum weight. Wha t can be removed for a TCDesign Rollbar? The rollbar requires the removal of the softtop, so what points are assesed? It could get sticky. Minimum weight makes those choices easy.

What about the camber kit? Any maximum camber?

Cale, it makes a big difference. Pete(Yellow Streak) and John(jfo) both used it. Within the first 5 turns of riding with John, I knew he had the kit. Talked to Pete Saturday at Summit- he reiterated how much it made a difference on his '02.

As a AutoXer who would be interested in this, the use of a spec shock, especially the ones proposed would shoot me down as I run AS and that would be too much for me to want to go through to run both series.
