From driving with you I started taking a more speed exiting the chicane, and it did help my lap times.

I think I have a stiffer front swaybar than Rylan also.

Absolutely. The wheel spin issue starts at turn in. And you very much need to get into the corner smoothly. Otherwise the rear suspension doesn't settle down enuf to get the diff to lock up.

When I drove on Sunday (softened rear rebound by 2 clicks) I was able to get around with very little of it, but I've learned to really focus on getting into the corner smooth.

When bitterman took it out he was complaining about wheel spin in every tight corner. He tends to overdrive a bit tho.

I understand that at the limit a corner is going to come up first. I wish I could get it to be a front instead of the rear.

I'm working with saner to get a set of "track" spec sway bars built. They'll be adjustable front and rear should help a lot too.

hehehe, I like the use of "still". It implies that in another 1-2 years your car will look like mine.

Too funny!

Yes, if your balance is good -- don't f##k with it! Changing sway bars and spring rates are mainly done to get the balance right. So if you're there already, leave it where it's at.

How did you guys like the track backwards?

Coming down on to the main straight is fun, huh?

I just looked at results on speedventures.net and I guess I didn't suck as much as I thought I did. 11th fastest overall, third fastest street-driven S2000 (Richard and Simple both beat me). I can live with that for now.

I think the car could have gone mid-1:35's without too much risk of life (maybe I'll get it down in that range next time I go there).

Wider rubber and a front sway bar would shave quite a bit more off that. Right now I'm running 205/55 front 225/50 rear RA-1's.
