That's got to be the understatement of the season.

Great to see you guys again. I wish I could get out more. I think I'll be at Buttonwillow later this month in someone else's car again. Do I get points for Simple's times?

UL

Damn, just looked at the results, I took 3rd in T6 (hitech RSX) with only 7 laps and 2nd in T7 (tberg's Z3) with only 5 laps while instructing. Looks like that go karting paid off Slick Rick! Maybe I'll bring a slow rental car to Buttonwillow....

Great meeting you all; there are some outstanding drivers in this group. Thanks to all who offered their expertise and encouragement.

Personally, I'll be spending the week shoveling WS infield out of my car, but it was worth every scoop. (Anyone need a set of slightly melted S02 slicks?)

I'm going to try to make at least one day at BW; this is too much fun!

In case anyone didn't see this elsewhere, here are some great pics of the event.

Thanks to BryanH for posting them.

DrTONE's (sfphinkter) times seem to be impressive since he didn't have a bauw? Guys on slicks are blistering fast. Richard:

I got a few pics, but nothing good - I need a camera with a zoom lens.

Also, Slick Rick and UL - here's a pic from go karting:

Woot! Very happy with my time in T7. Wanted to be the fastest on street tires but I suppose that was unrealistic given my HP disadvantage and meager tires (195mm ES100s). And like the fool that I am I left my A/C on full blast during the session where I set that time.

Man what a great weekend with a lot of great driving by so many. The competition is getting real tight in the red group and its got me more than a little worried.

Here is a video of JZR driving my car for Fastest Lap of the Day on Saturday.
