I'm looking for a used OEM exhaust per your recomendation. Any one willing to estimate the weight savings by cutting just after Y junction? I'm looking to shed some weight for track days - this looks like a good solution. What about cutting just after the resonator, just before the initial muffler? Not worth the weight saving because of the additional vibration/noise?

yep. Cut at the Y. You'll want the first silencer and resonator. Otherwise the car will feel like it is shaking apart.
Not sure about the exact weights, but with the big cans axed, I believe around 30 pounds are dropped. The approximate weight of the OEM cut at the Y is about 9 pounds.
