Well he's the expert, its his job. Ask anyone who knows his work, specifically the Tech organizations of SFR SCCA or Nasa.
Why don't you provide the information to prove him wrong? You're (one of) the asshat(s) who are calling him a liar and that he doesn't know what he's talking about.

Secondly, I did not post here claiming I as an expert. I do have some good knowledge of rollcage and rollcage design. I have dealt with NASA, SCCA and NASCAR rules and inspected MANY rollcages before and after an incident. I do not consider myself an expert, more of well informed person. That is why I asked the Expert to post some of his findings. I have asked all the different sanctioning bodies that I have been involved with the same question, and they actually provided info.
I'm not attacking any one person in here... I thought we here having a discussion on what design was better. I truly believe there is no one best solution. There defiantly are to many variables, but wthl all the info out on the table everyone can make their own informed decision.
Can't do it with a soft top and still have the top fold down. Plus the HT gives a little more clearance for higher bars than the soft top.
If you want a full cage in your daily driver I say go for it. Just remember to always were a helmet when you drive.

once you have seen tony's cage in person, you will no longer argue with him about what he says in good cage design.
