Yeah, I just experienced the same sticker shock. Last I checked, you could nearly cover the delta between AP and Stoptech with a pair of ring replacements.

I don't track hours but I do track sessions.

Front: 35-38 sessions that last between 15-25 min each. Rotors have 67 sessions and look fine.
Stoptech ST40 with APR Cooling
Carbotech XP12

Rear: ~37 sessions. Rotors have 105 sessions and look fine.
Urge 2 piece rears
Stoptech XP12

Avg is about 4 sessions a day.
