Found the info. I'll post it here as it took reviewing over 100 thread results from the search before I found it.

I installed my Gendron hitch last Thursday on my 02 and had to drill as well. No big deal though... I'm glad to see that someone else bent the brackets for the valence out of the way! I only had two minor problems. First, the ball didn't fit into the draw bar very well. A dremel with a grinding bit and a very large hammer fixed that! Second, I apparently misread the instructions, because I dropped the bolts for the small bracket down through the trunk -- leaving a bunch of threaded bolt blocking the hole for the pin. It did not occur to me to flip the bolt, so I made a trip to Home Depot and bought shorter bolts. I towed to my first event yesterday with no problems. I agree -- I'd definitely buy from Bill again! In fact, once I scrape together the cash, I may upgrade my Muz front swaybar to a Gendron.

Looks nice. Although, I think I would have just used a hack saw on those bolts, rather than buying new ones.

I was tempted to do just that, but my perfectionist side told me to go buy the bolts. It made a convenient dinner break too, and the bolts only cost 60 cents. I can't believe I completely overlooked flipping the bolts, though...

I don't think so. There's at least 1/2 inch of space between the trunk liner and the metal.

I just finished installing my hitch from Harold Hammerly. I have yet to see a better engineered hitch anywhere - the installation is absolutely a breeze, no drilling, no cutting the bumper cover, just bolt on and smile. Three pip pins and it's off the car, ready to race. It fit like he had used my car as a template. If anyone is considering a hitch, I'd recommend Harold very highly.

Conversely, I just finished installing my Gendron hitch, and it was a pain in the ass. Drilling required, bolts in thoroughly inaccessible places, and I never got it to fit quite right. It'll be worth it if I get years of service out of the hitch, but man that was frustrating.
