Yes, what I'm saying is that they've picked those two parts to work together. It's true that the front lip has nothing to do with the downforce generated by the rear wing, but they sculpted it to provide appropriate downforce up front.

Otherwise it'd be way too much in back or way too much in front, etc.

A side note: A front spoiler/deflector/dam will improve downforce/lift at both front and rear axles. A rear wing will only really push on the rear. But the rear generally needs more help.
