Another one bites the dust
but if I was there I would have smoked him with my S2000 sometimes people dont know what they have when they are behind the wheel of an S2000
. You live in the area??
ok lets break it down:
ECIS intake= 9-12hp
Bavarian Autosport claims a 16hp gain, so lets say 10-16hp
Dinan shows gains of 9hp, so lets say 6-9hp
So with a conservative estimate were still looking at a 25hp gain, and with the reputation those companies have for bmw performance parts i would say that estimate is VERY conservative.
P.S.- all HP #'s were taken off the companies w/p's so take it for what its worth.

Here's the dyno for ECIS.. and I remember a shoot out from b-p-g.com (now out of biz) between
ECIS and JC intake, ECIS dynoed 12rwhp... hell, homemade $60 intake will also make 12rwhp...
As for the chip... i'm not so sure if it adds any hp... when Shark Injector came out.. there were many
very diff opinions on the result... some claim great gains but some claim loss of power... but it does
raise your redline a bit.. which is a plus.. since your power drop off on the next gear alot less shifting
at 7k when compare to stock's 6500rpm...
98 M3 vs 98 M3+Dinan chip

97 M3 vs 97 M3 with JC Chip

97 M3 vs 98 with chip+intake+exhaust

These are on mustang dyno.. which I've heard result in a lower # than most dynojets...
(Diff type of dyno?)
Also, you can't simply add up numbers you expect to get from each add-on parts.. even if
each parts have been proven on dyno... so still, my guess is that you probably have added
20rwhp... but probably not as much as 30...
(But then.. if you put these on a 95 M3... you'll probably get way more b/c of OBD1)
In most cases a chip alone wont do much at all. But when used with other components such as a free flow exhaust and an intake is seems to make a more substantial impact. Anyway, there is no real way to figure it out without actually dynoing the car, but i wouldn't be surprised to see it add more than 20hp.

Dynoing it is the only way to find out.
