Anyone ever ran from the cops in the S2k?

Actually that kid did get away and drove on an off road. He left the car on foot but a helicopter found where he was. That police video was edited believe it or not. They used a scene in it from the beginning again and slowed it down and said that he "ran out of gas".

Sorry to change the topic a bit, but is it true the crown vic cop cars are modded to go faster? I heard that this is true in most of the U.S., I don't think the same holds true in canada though
It was also lighter. No rear window crank or door handles. Ha Ha
Mine was a highway cruiser. so she was geared for top end (about 160mph).
They use a different rear end for city cars.

Interceptors (Crown Vics): 16.0
Impalas: 15.5
Camaros: 14.0
The interceptors and impalas aren't made to race you down- they just follow you until you run out of gas or run into a nail strip. The camaros are still fast enough to keep up quite a bit, but again, they have their guidelines.

Several people have run (won't mention their screen names), one recently in the Mid-A forum and all have been caught.

The fact that would entertain this thought shows you're too immature to be driving a sportscar.

I did it. It was actually 2 of us. The other was a 430hp turbo S and mine was stock. He got taken to jail and car was impounded. I parked in a garage and picked up the car next morning. We bailed him out of jail and got the car back that night. He had a racing ticket and another one for running a red light. Cops had no lights on so they couldn't get us for fleeing.
VERY bad experience and i would not do it again nor would i recommend it to anyone else. I don't usually do things like this but the person in front of me dropped it and took off so i was kinda left with no choice, i guess i just lucked out on getting away.
