My buddy just bought a mint 03 350 6spd with 10K miles a few weeks ago. It has the enthusiast package which is between the base and the track package. Well, it was inevitable that we would run em, as we have a had somewhat of a racing rivalry dating all the way back to high school. Back then we had Integras, in college we had high horsepower DSMs, and now this.

My only mods are KN drop in and HKS exhaust which reportedly loses HP. I also have 18's on so I figure I'm slower than stock. We are both skilled drivers but I of course am more familiar with my car.

We ran about 8 consecutive times and the outcome was surprising. Wherever we would start (40-65mph roll), he would immediately jump out and look to walk me hard, but as the rpm raised, I would slow his pull and start to pull on him near redline. I also noticed I was much faster when I took it to 9200rpm istead of 8900.

So I would say the cars are pretty even. The Nisan def. has the edge down low, but near redline and also 80+mph the S2K seems to have an edge (which I thought to be the reverse). Well he has already ordered some mods and I'm stepping up to 4.77s which should hold him off for awhile.

 

Stock vs stock it will be a pretty even race or driveres race as some would call it. Very good I like to pick on the Z guys because they are so cocky at times.

ive raced 2 of them, most recent one he definetly had a cai and we started in 3 rd gear and I put easy 2 cars by end of 4th. the other one intake, plenum, cai, larger piping to stock mufflers. and i put about a car on him by 5th from a first gear roll, that was before my test pipe
