Exactly. Not everything is perfect. I'm NOT saying that an S2k is faster than an LS1, but it's not entirely improbable that an S2k could beat one. To assume that all LS1 cars with any driver will be a low 13 second car is to ignore a lot of other factors.

 

+1. A driver or a car in a bad state of tune can make some jacked up stuff happen. I personally beat a Z28 auto from 70 to 100 in my 5.0 (which never trapped over 99mph). I then raced my dad (who drove my 5.0) in my WS6 and skull drug that thing HORRIDLY. I was even in the wrong gear. Didn't matter. Ownage.

The oil-burning. I bet the guy is using the "wrong" oil in the car.

A modded S2K vs. a broken F-body (stock)

Something just isnt fair, lol. What do you think an F-body with exhaust+lid vs. a stock S2K with a broken tranny mount would have looked like?

EDIT:

The guy runs mid 9's in that car in the 1/8 mile at 80mph. This is VERY! sub-standard for an LS1 F-body.

^there he is doing so. (A few of his other passes looked better, 82mph, but he was still in the 9's. I am betting it is an auto with 2.73 gears or something.)
