STI's aren't the same beast from a roll as from a dead stop.

Was the guy racing? I honestly find this hard to believe. Even if he DOES have turbo lag, I don't think that accounts for a car that's almost a second faster in the 1/4 losing the race.

It's faster in the 1/4 mile only because it is 4 wheel drive and gets really nice traction on a launch. On a roll it's pretty even with an s2k.

I've never seen a race, that's why I was doubting. Thanks for the info

Anyone notice that STI's weren't released in 2001? You raced a regular old WRX Impreza, not a 300 hp one.

i think he meant the S he was driving only had I/H and was a 2001....it's a little hard to mistake a wrx impreza for an sti... to many things cosmetically different between the two...

If the STI isn't launched at 5000rpm you can pretty much count on it running a very high 13 to low 14 sec 1/4 mile. That's S2000 territory.

I've seen two STI's at the track run all night and NEVER get into the 13's. Obviously, the car is capable of low 13's w/ the right driver but if you mess up the launch you can subtract at least 0.5 sec from the 1/4.

Hell yeah I am! See me in person and tell me I"m not. You'd be like "Woah! I want him!" Can I see a picture of you? Wait, I can already see what you'd look like, just like most other Asians.

Just kidding there!
