c. the other driver doesn't know your racing
most of the time it's c.
I completely understand what you're saying. And I absolutely agree 100% A true street race should be taken to a back road with no traffic and a flagger in the middle of the street to start the race. Trust me, I'm no Honda Civic kid who drives around doing Ricer flybys on STI's.

If it were up to me I would have asked the guy to follow me to my favorite back road where me and all my boys practice Drag racing. But we were in a whole other area.

As far as your list goes. I agree with A, B and C but your Forgetting D......
A good ass driver in the slower car

Now, I do mean brag because I honestly think I am a good ass driver. I

Yella....whatever your issue is with Raw just let it go. Your original comment to Raw was completely inappropriate here. If you want to pick a fight or whore around please do this in off-topic or in the corner. This is not what this forum is for.

Alright, but these hardcore gangstas keep "picking on" me in Off Topic too. Truth be told, I think Shift has a huge crush on me and wouldn't let it go after I told him that I wasn't interested. Let it go, Shift! It'll never happen between us.

Oh yeah, my beef with Raw was that he made really racist comments towards Asians at the very beginning. The kind of comments that only a KKK member would make.

Man... i'm just sick of hearing my S beat an.......don't get me wrong, S2k has great handling and decent acceleration. It's no where close to STI, C5 or Evo in acceleration.

i don't recall you bringin your s to work while i was in ct this past week.
we definitely could have found out how fast your s really is

all you guys that claim to beat cars that are supposed to be faster need to realize that either:
a. you're racing a crappy driver
b. you're racing in circumstances that only favor your car
c. the other driver doesn't know your racing
most of the time it's c.
ask the driver if he wants to run, wait for his answer (that's the important one) give him 3 real honks, then go.
this garbage of guys sayin
'i knew he wanted to run'
'he was pacing me and blowin off @ me'
and then you floor it and claim victory.
sure the s is going to give a better run if @ high speeds, but the sti still traps higher in the 1/4 and i don't see alot of guys racing 100-140.

2 cars, 2 different purposes.
the only thing they have in common is that neither is great in the 1/4 mile
Uh i told you like monday that the Sat of that week me and a bunch of buddies were going out and taking pics and cruisin. Asked ya if you wanted to come and have some fun you said yea. Then when Sat came you went to go out to the movies with your mom and dad. I even told your bro that i had 2 Evo's and a Supra that wanted to run the STI just as some friendly runs as they wanted to see what your monster could do . As far as trq being what wins races it all depends what type of races you running. Just look at the ASM S2000 it lapped Tsukuba Circuit in .59 sec there's 500+hp Supra's,Skylines that run it in about a 1.02. They have twice as much hp and trq . On the circuit and road courses aerodynamics, chassis setup, suspension, etc are just as important if you can't keep all that power under control it means nothing.

When i had my Type R i was putting out 220 and if i remember correctly and around 190 trq to wheels my buddy had a Corvette he was churning out 300hp and just as much trq. We used to run thru a set of sharp windy s curves on the highway i always spanked his ass and he had 80hp more than me and more trq. We were probably the same as far as driving skills he also was driving a stick about 2 yrs longer than me. Why could he never beat me with more displacement trq, hp and driving experience . Conclusion Um maybe because he didn't realize that chassis, aerodynamics, suspension setup are just as important than just power.

To qoute Tsuchiya San it's not all about power boy.
