Why not challenge him to race for bragging rights? Why race for money in the first place? I'd be reeeeallly careful... sounds like you're getting baited... unless he thinks you're stock.... then go a$$-ma$ter his stupid neon....

 

How do these modded neons (FWD and all) hook up from a dead stop?

 

Depends, many of them cant drive very well and although roll racing gets knocked a lot, that seems to be how a lot of the races go down. Hed do better from a roll imo, but if you say you will too then go for it. This is all assuming its an srt-4. What does/should your car run? If hes anywhere near stock, you shouldn't have a problem, cause as I have heard, these two cars are close in stock form. Don't let him know you are SCd, but try to find out more about what he has. Pretty cocky, almost too cocky. So, hes either ignorant or has a big turbo kit and thinks you'll be easy prey.

 

If he doesnt know your SC'd id go for it... catch him off guard. Seems to me you should be able to get him, plus not to mention his girl obviously doesnt know wtf shes talking about. Id say he is probably Srt-4 and possibly stock and has beaten a car or 2 and now his girl thinks hes tough shizzle, give'm a dose of reality!

 

LooK out for a Built V8 it will beat you. Do a little investigating and find out what he has

 

We have similar mods. You should be able to smoke him! He would have to have a turbo upgrade to hang in there with you. If he is relatively stock, it won't be close!

sounds like he/she assumes you are stock, esp since she is bragging that he beat a stock S by 4 lengths. I think under normal conditions, your S (boosted as it is) will put more than 4 lengths on a stock S as you will be pullling away fairly quickly. If he is putting 4 lengths on an S, either the S driver wasn't that good or he is modded, but not that heavily (ie. no turbo upgrade, etc, just bolt ons and the perf package they give with the srt).

if i were a gambling man, and IF the above statement the girl stated is true (only 4 lengths), then I say you should rock his world.

Don't tell him you are boosting. Just brush him off sorta when he asks about your car, getting him to focus on his and just ask him what he has. If he doesn't have enough to pull you, act like you are very hesitant and then spank him!!!!

What would an srt need to do, specifically to beat his boosted S? For example, what kind of turbo upgrade, how much nitrous, etc? These are the things he needs to know. I would tell you, but my knowledge of them is limited. Anyone else?
