From a SRT4 Owner: I checked the specs just now and they have 240hp and 153tq . Why so much horsepower with no torque?..
So we can beat the living crap out of her with a huge on our face for over 100k and still sell her for a heck of a lot more than your wheels .

You would have to own one to understand

my s2000 is basically stock, just an AEM cold air intake w/ bypass valve and a red dodge neon srt/4 started messing with me...from around 45mph i dropped into second and gave her all i had...he pulled a little but not much...im almost certain he was stock though because he still had the dealer tag on the back of it..so if ur supercharged then go for it...if hes got a new srt/4 then chances are he hasnt heavily modified it yet because it wouldnt be properly broken in. good luck man!

also a helpful website for those in need of car speed research www.fast-autos.net

I hate neons.

I say take everything with a grain of salt. Try to find out more stuff about him and ask around and see if people know anything. It could be a neon with lots of mods or a srt-4.

Ur s/c so u got a really good chance!

Have fun killing him. 45 mph roll should really destroy him.
How would you know if the Neon isn't heavily modified? Damn assumptions! Go find out what he's done to his car.

i had to register just to tell you to be VERY careful with what he has in that...don't think that if he has an srt-4 its going to be stock because if hes that confident im willing to bet that its not stock there are quite a few srt-4's down here that have anywhere between 375-450 hp and with only that they keep up to gsx-r's (the bike) off a 60 roll...some guy with a gsx-r posted this a few weeks ago on our (clubwrx.net) forums saying that he couldnt believe the srt was still on his ass when he let off at 120....i was reading a few posts and you guys are underestimating srt's like crazy their best gears are the latter ones specially 3rd so im guessing he has his car modded a stage 3 mopar srt is good for low 12's...just be careful...with i think about 115 traps their achilles heel are off the hole races....

srt-4's are cheezy...without those FI of theirs...they would probably have 130hp...hahahah

compared to us with 240hp...with FI...say goodbye to the 4's in the back of their heads..

--Can you say Dodge? ooooO hell nawww! Maybe Dodgeball, but not Dodge...

Something seems shady about this entire setup. You being supercharged is ur trump card but doesn't assure u a victory. I'm not saying you shouldnt race the guy, jus be cautious. And get it on tape!!

The SRT-4 has plenty of potential with minor mods, dont underestimate it! They have dyno'd at 223 whp, the 215 crank hp that Dodge states is due to insurance reasoning! Depending on which year he has, the 1st year SRT-4 doesn't come equipped with an LSD, so its no surprise why he doesn't want to go from a dig! Your S2 sounds healthy so I think its going to be a great race, I would place the money on the S2 even if he has a couple of mods performed! If it does turn out to be stock then I will tell you this in my own personal experience, DO NOT WORRY ABOUT IT! I raced a stock one from 60mph to 139mph, when I finally shifted out of fifth I had 1 3/4 cars on him. It was almost two full lengths and he was dying! I took the W with my mods, you should have no problem with a stock one with your mods .
