I own both E46 M3 6sp, and an S2k.

It probably is driver error.

I also vote driver error. E46 will pull hard on a stock AP1

If you find one of those let me know...cuz BMW didn't make any, E46 M was 6 speed manual and 6 speed SMGII only. The M3 is definitely a quicker car but it's no vette, it's also a more forgiving car than the S2000 due to the better torque curve and gearing. My M3 cracked 107mph in the quarter and my S2000 was generally just shy of 101mph when stock...6mph trap speed is quite noticeable.

Nice race. I have to post my vid of my m3 race. It was from a 20 mph roll. I missed 2nd and still ended up pulling on him in 4th.
He asked what kind of shot I was running? I told him
no nitrous just motor.

He told me he has never lost to a s2000 before.
Then he got his buddys 318i gutted with a m3 motor in it
He beat me pretty bad. hahaha.
