interesintg...Just the other night had a 95 or so eclipse I think GST and all he kept blowing his BOV on and off. I asked him what he had when he was next to me and he told me turbo and said he was at 15PSI running 13.9. I could see a boost controller the bright blue thing in the interior. To bad we were next to city hall and 30mph zone otherwise..he kept reving and boving at me and I almost bit but I doubt his car was 13.9 most liekly high 14s or low 15s.
DSM's are one car you just can't underestimate when it come to staightline power... 13.9 would be very possible if he had full 3", FMIC or upgraded SMIC (sleeper)...and a long list of mods after that...basically just look at what I had done to mine on the first page of this thread...and I coulda run a 12.5 on race gas...I was running LOW 13's all day on the street with pump 91.

But still DSM's just don't compare in quality, or true sports car-ness to the S...I wish I had sold my Eclipse a long time ago.

yes but that was a 2nd gen DSM. Probably FWD if it was GST and even the GSX AWD drive turbo are low mid 15s stock. 1st gen you don't know but 2nd gen have smaller turbos.

true...it depends on what turbo he is running...but I had a 99 (2g) GST with a Big16g...swaping the turbo could be done in 3 hours assuming you have all the right parts and don't run into any problems (err broken manifold studs in head...that sux)...but ya, its a cake walk swapping turbos on those cars...and your right about low 15's stock...I think the only stock DSM at 14.9 is the 1g FWD, it just has the best stock power/weight ratio
