You said before he had the stock rearend

and can you honestly explain the huge margin of victory for the Corvette? The only other thing that I can think of is perhaps the s2000 started in a higher gear I mean the way the vette pulled away you'd think that the s2000 was completely stock...I've seen a Prelude with i/h/e (mid 14 second car with the driver in question) get pulled like that...but I can't imagine a SC s2000 that hangs with NSXs and an s4 with twin k04 turbos getting spanked like that

Well to be honest there is enough difference already that I can spot one instantly when they drive by. I kind of like the fact that they are similar. The rear breaks, front screens and the wheels are a dead give away. Now a lot of regular C5 guys are buying teh Z06 wheels and kind of confusing the matter a bit. Hell, some guys have gone so far as to haev the break screens and front screens and badges installed on their hardtops as well which make it virtually impossible to tell them apart. I'm not really sure how I feel about the guys that are doing this. I do know a guy named Greg Garcia that has a gorgeous Arctic White 99 Hardtop that he converted into a "Z06" by adding all the Z06 items to it. He's a nice guy and his car is stunningly clean, but it still kinds sits wrong with me.

I guess I'm kinda torn on this one.

I have no interest in making an excuse for what happened in that race, but more than one person is extremely curious as to how it could have down the way it did. The only things that might, might, have affected the race are these. I ran the white MR2 from my videos 3 times, I met up with the crew about 2 blocks down the street and ran the Stage III GTI twice, I circled the block and ran the White Cobra, I circled the block again and this time I raced the C5. When the race started I wasn't really sure how soon after the 3rd honk I was suppsed to punch it, and I didn't want to take the punch. I was caught off gaurd a bit and punched it after hearing the vette's motor roar. I was in 2nd gear at about 43-45 (a bit below VTEC).

I probably underestimated the C5. I don't really care. I have no problem if every LS1 motored car thinks that they'll beat me by roughly 5-8 car-lengths...I'm completely happy with them thinking that. I will never benefit by them thinking the other way.

Sorry I don't have the money to get a "good sports car" lol
I love dragging cocky bastards like yourself...too bad your not in houston, I would love to pop your inflated head. Guys like you give other s2k owners a bad name....I was merely stating that I would be ****ing pissed to get drug by a stock vette w/ the power he is putting down.

um, ok?

How was I being a cocky bastard? You were the one who decided to make an arrogant statement. Who are you to comment on his car when you don't even know the extent of the race. I don't care if you have money or not, but if you do "own a real sports car" then you would have a common respect for other car enthusiasts. Shizon and Glen are a perfect example of what I am trying to prove. They like the domestic market of cars (especially GM cars) and own Corvettes, but they always respect others comments and cars.

Come on? Pop my inflated head? What are you, in 2nd grade. Did I ever say the s2k is the god of all cars, no! I really do wish I could go to houston, so I can see what a joke you are....
