[QUOTE]The S2000 is a nice 35K dollar car, but so is the 20K 1.8T that is ALMOST as fast.

STOCK R's run 14.3 - 14.4.....chipped 1.8T's run the same??? So how is there *no way* the GTI would lose?
I would have to disagree here. What is the fastest time on a stock R? I know the fastest time on a chipped 1.8T is around 13.8, with the average falling into the 14.0x to 14.8 range.

13.8 with nothing but a chip on the car? I find that hard to believe. Either way you're admitting averages are in the 14 - 14.8 range, which is exactly what the R runs....which still makes it a driver's race. Not to mention if the race continues well into triple digits, the R pulls.

It is a legit time. I found it hard to believe as well and called BS when I saw it. Either way, I also believe that the chipped 1.8T VS. Integra is a drivers race. I also believe that a Chipped 1.8T vs. S2000 is a drivers race as well.

Ok, so you take a run from 0 altitude with a 14.5 and compare it with a 14.5 run @3000ft? So, which car is quicker?

same goes to 1/4 mile comparosons from trackY to trackX. It's just like magracing.

Still, was the discussion not, that the ITR will beat a chipped GTI? No way in hell my friend....

Haha of course you're not interested, b/c you know you're dead :f*cking wrong.
But that's a good, mature way to hold an argument. When you know you're wrong, pull the "lack of interest" card. I'm sure an ITR could take me in a road course, but who really gives a f*ck?Bleh.. lack of interest.
Please read my posts before commenting on my being "right" and "wrong." I have made no statements that can be proven "wrong." My comments are in reference to stock versus stock. When you bring modified cars into the equation ... well that's just silly.

Again, I have no interest in drag racing. If a modified GTI can run a quicker 1/4 mile, big deal. So can many cars, I choose not to own them either.

Those races are nowhere near a 1/4 mile. They look to be about 0 - 80mph. Good races none the less. The GTI driver knows his launches.
