I went on a group drive with some of the local car guys, for the most part it was just a nice cruise but a few of us managed to get in some decent runs. The best race I was involved in was a 2004 Mach 1 Mustang vs my Comptech SC S2000. I have no idea what mods he had, but it was the loudest street car I've ever heard. We lined up about 50, with my top up. Off the start he pulled 1/4 car on me, I stopped the pull fairly quick and started inching my way back. I started to pull away from him and we shut down around 100 for traffic, he was no more than a car length back, probably 1/2 a car. Later in the night we got another run in, this time with my top down from 65-125. He pulled 2 car lengths on me, I've read that the top down really hurts us so this result would tend to support that conclusion.

Good runs, and the guy was really nice. Everyone on the drive was shocked after the first run, no one could believe that I was able to beat him. I, on the other hand, was a little upset that I didn't walk him easily. I didn't realize they were any quicker than a Mustang GT. I checked the specs when I got home and it made me feel a good bit better, 0-60 in 4.7 and 1/4 in 13.2. Given that information, I was very pleased with the runs.

Those Mach1's can be pretty quick. They are slightly faster than 01 Cobra's from the factory. If he had gears and full exhaust, he could prolly put down a mid 12 sec. time slip easily. Good runs!

Nice run they are prety quick, my buddy actualy ran 13.2 in his bone stock. Lol now he's cammed and supercharged, once he's tuned im gonna run him in the Cobra.

 

My buddy has a bolt-on Mach 1 with a 125 shot. All motor he put down 330whp & about 350tq and ran a 13.1. With the spray, he's beat 11 second cars on the street. Not saying he's running in the 10's or close to it, but his car is FAST! We're actually going to Moroso this Wednesday to run. My first time in the s2k(gonna baby it) and will be his first time spraying out of the hole.

 

He should give you a run for your money.
