me vs evo
errelevant, thats not my latest dyno, my latest dyno shows 323 at the wheels.
my performance mods are
mbc $70
fuel pump $90
hotside $200
exhaust $150 used
cams $500
camgears $150 used
ECU+ $430
once again the 10.5 doesnt spool any faster either. you are looking at people that went form an 03 evo to an 05. they are seeing the difference because of the boost, and ecu is different. NOT soley because ofthe hotside.
look at dyno results of people that have switched to the 6.5 TME turbo and see that there was pretty much no change in their peak power, but a slight difference in midrange, and spool only because of the lightweight turbine wheel.

ill say that the remapped ecu and higher boost might help, but the only thing the 10.5 really does is it improves the midrange.
i didnt dyno on the same day, but it was the same dyno, and the car was tuned both times. I did the hotside swap and i did the tuning myself. I dont reflash to get tuned either. Thats the easy and expensive way out.
the difference in you and your brothers car may just be different types of break in periods and like is aid increased boost and remapped ECU. The better midrange will help him accelerate a bit better.

2) Off topic - since when is a $200 flash expensive? How much did you spend on your ems? Not including dyno time?
3) Let's even say that 10.5 makes no difference, the flash and upped boost alone will be 20-30 whp.....so how can you say that there isnt much hp difference. You cant always go on the manufacturer's claims alone.
Your statement before was that there isnt much difference b/w 03/04's and 05's. There is............you stated that there is only a 9hp difference b/w the 2 models, there is a 20-30 whp difference. You imply that there is no way that an s2000 can keep up with a stock 03/04 evo, they can and will pass at highway speeds. And finally, I dont believe that you pulled 10 cars on any s2000 that was driven properly. Sorry but you are wrong in this matter. Stop focusing on the 10.5 hotside argument, the 05's trap, do the 1/4 mile, and dyno better than the 03-04's. Also, your dyno graphs mean nothing b/c you are not a professional at tuning and the conditions werent the same. You dont have the experience of dynoflash, werks, or turbo trix.
Sorry dude

I don't know how you guys are able to walk a EVO from a roll. I used own a 02 S2k and sold for an 05 EVO and my evo is alot faster than my S was. I know 05 are significantly faster that 03/04 due to 10.5 hotside and other little minor things but evo should still pull on the S2000. I ran my car at 13.2 @ 104 bone stock EVO and ran my S 14.4 @ 99 in my bone stock S2k. Well I guess anything can happen in street/highway race.

from the looks of it u are a great EVO driver but a crappy S2K driver. Perhaps not a good comparison.

Driving ability and EVO don't belong in the same sentence.

i listed the cost of all my mods in my previous post. I spent $430 on the piggyback, and the knowledge that i gained is priceless.
im not a professional at tuning, but i know how to tune, and a professional is not going to get much better results than i have with the setup that i have. The conditions were as close to the same as they could be. They were within a few weeks of eachother, and they were at the same dyno. The results arent going to vary THAT much. I can tell you havent had much experience at a dyno facility by your comments. I had a dynoflash at one point in time and i tuned on top of that and made an extra 30 whp.
also, my car is an 11 second car, i would put more than 10 lengths on an s2000 in a 1/4 mile race any day of the week. Educate yourself.

a $200 flash isnt expensive, but when you have to pay $200 everytime you change your mods, it does get expensive after awhile, and it will never be a perfect tune unless you shell out the big bucks to get one of the vendors to come down and tune it for you.

2) I've planned my mods carefully and have been running a $200 flash for 50K miles! so for me, it's worth it. - OFF TOPIC
3) Again you are avoiding the MAIN issue by addressing other aspects of this arugment, YOU ARE WRONG: There is a significant difference b/w the 03/04's and the 05's, THERE IS MORE THAN A 9 HP DIFFERENCE! MORE LIKE a 20-30 WHP difference - TOPIC
4) I assumed that you werent quite modded b/c this argument was based on STOCK s2000's BEATING stock 03-04 evo's at highway speeds......then you come in here for some unknown reason and start talking junk about killing s2000's by 10 car lengths(which tends to lead people to believe that you are near stock). Obviously a modded evo will take a stock s2000, it doesnt take a genius to understand that.
also off topic,
1) You installed the 10.5 and gained nothing
2) You say that you "do you own tuning"
3) That you doubt that a professional can do any better
4) Again remember that you gained nothing
5) but on the threads that I posted, THE PROFESSIONALS (werks, dynoflash, ect) all showed gains with the 10.5 hotside......are you telling me that you bought an ecu+ (owned it for a couple of months), had maybe 10-20 self dynotunes, and expect me to believe that a pro (that on average do 30-50 pulls in ONE DYNO DAY) can not get significantly better results than you???? DONT MAKE ME LAUGH!
In conclusion, you are wrong!
Bobby
