i wish. GLD is one of the most temperamental tracks I know.

over half the time the traction conditions there are surely less than optimal. they hardly ever get the track prepped really well in my experiences.

fact. stock for stock. s2k VS evo, roll on, s2k wins. hands down..done.
fact, if you mod an evo, it picks up HP quick.
fact, if you dig VS an evo, you will lose.
fact, when i had just an intake, i raced a member from here, in my 04, he had intake, downpipe, and exh, on his evo. 2 roll ons from 60 mph. by 120 i had 3+ cars on him. and 3 other s2ks watched.
now, if you guys are saying the 05 is quicker, what has been done to make it so. id like to see the specs, so that i know. and when i go out again, ill be looking for an 05 to run. laters, and stop arguing about why apples and oranges dont taste the same...THEY ARENT. dave

 

here is the truth...
we (my bro and I) have a 02 s2k, it is faster than the 03 stock evo from a roll (we did at least 20 runs).
we have a stock 05 evo, it is faster than our 02 s2k and is as fast as the same aforementioned 03 after we put on a turbo back exhaust, reflash and boost controller on the 03.

the 05 evo has been shown to dyno at least 20 more whp and trap at 104-105 miles per hour in the 1/4.

03 evo < s2k < 05 evo from a roll.

 

let's just agree some evo's are faster than s2k's, some s2k's are faster than evos, from rolls.
