I ran with an earlier NSX before I had the vortech, just running the 4.44's. Were in the same lane, me in back, and left from a light running on to the freeway. I stayed right on him. In fact above 90 I had to let up a little bit to maintain the space between us. I don't know what year it was, or if it was standard or auto, but I do know if we had been side by side I would have taken him.

Let's settle this once and for all (and it is strictly what I've seen):

All stock with equivalent drivers:

3.2L NSX manual: a lot faster than an S.
3.0L manual: slightly faster than an S.
3.0L auto: slightly slower than an S.

That settles it for me.

tell me this, you all say a 95 nsx pulls away from you, but that you can keep with an e46 m3 that could wax that little nsx. I don't understand. That NSX is a high 13 sec car which you all claim the s2000 is. How can it walk away? Also if it was auto that would even be slower.

also lets settle this
e36 m3 faster than s and even with nsx 3.0
e46 m3 alot faster than s and faster than NSX 3.2

I don't know....my friend has an e36 and I pretty much beat him everytime with my '91 NSX.

I could be wrong but I think the S2K is about even with the E36...maybe a tad bit slower.

But def. alot slower than an E46.

well the only reason the s2000 in my opinion would get beat is because in the e36 m3 it is has more torque, and unlike the s2000 can, it can take off in any gear at any rpm and actually go somewhere. The s2000 in anything before 6000 seems like its hardly moving.

Gee, people that have owned a combination of the three cars tend to disagree:

Owns an S2000 and an E36 - according to him: driver's race.

Used to own an E36 M3, and now owns a 3.0 NSX - his conclusion: the NSX 3.0 is faster.

You can read how mature people (not fanb01s) that actually own NSXs feel about each car here: http://www.nsxprime.com/forums/showthread....50&pagenumber=1

I agree with you about the E46 M being a lot faster than the S, but go through here: http://www.autofacts.ca/classics/fast.htm

...and tell me that the NSX 3.2 is faster than the E46 M. Driver's race, I'll accept...but faster? Nope.

BMW boy, why do you need to turn every arguement into one about how the e36 M3 is faster than the S2k?? Have you ever actually witnessed a good honest race between the two with equal drivers?? I have. I've raced S2k's at least 5-6 times in both a modded Mustang GT, and a Modded E36 (just intake), and I'll tell you that I could not pull away from them in the M3 as long as the driver knew what he was doing. In my GT, they'd get walked....

Here's what I see:

E36 <= S2000 <= NSX 3.0

NSX 3.2 >= E46 > S2000
