What's the reason a lighter car that has more power can't beat the expensive heavier cars with less power?

[QUOTE=under-rated,Dec 25 2004, 06:22 PM] Oh really ?
You'll rape a stock 360 ? No! I'm cool with a guy with a 360 Modena F1, his only mods are Tubi Exhaust... If you really want to do this, I'll try and get him bring out his car to put this sh!t! to sleep.
It won't be a rape, and matter of fact could be the other way around.
Otherwise..........
Hit me up on the pm and we can do this out... b/c I like to start sh!t!

blastr17, mr gtr, Everybody is entitled to their own opinion about cars and their owners. This thread though, is about a 400HP s2000 beating some exotics.
"They dont drive their cars, they dont push it a lot, most exotics are ever driven hard.." Thats all bullshit! The fact remains, ANYTHING CAN HAPPEN on the street. You never wake up in the morning thinking that YOU were going to be a part of a stupid and redundant argument, but you are.. shit just happens
Sideways's car is fuccen fast, leave it at that. He beat a couple of exotics, those particulare drivers drove their cars hard and lost. If you do not own any of those exotics mentioned above, then you dont have no room to talk about their drivers and how they act. You are making comments on shit that you dont know. You dont own one, then you dont know shit.
Steve C made that clear, he owns one and drives it constantly. I do not know where you are from, but here in Cali, Exotics can be found at almost every fuccen starbucks, There are so many of them that owns one, and drive them constantly.
An s2000 beating an exotic, is just as believable that a Sleeper Sentra can beat a stock s2000.( theres a video out right now, and that sentra looked like a piece of shit, but the S2k driver still raced it and lost!). Ive seen a hatchback beat a viper. Specs, I do not know. The "Pre Fast & Furious Friday Night San Diego Street Drags" proved that. On a weird weekday (wednesdays, i believe), there was a spot where only exotics ran, and only super fast crews were invited. All you see were 10-12 second cars. A nice mixture of Domestics, Exotics, and ever so often, a couple of hatchbacks, and some Japanese super cars. Anyone from SD that have been there?
ANYTHING CAN HAPPEN ON THE STREETS.
just my .02 cents

The idea that Ferraris and other exotics are just too expensive for owners to really drive fast and take risks is always thrown out there ... and it just couldn't be a more stupid argument!
Keep in mind many who own such cars have high six-figure or seven figure salaries. For those with such income levels, a $200k+ car is actually a pretty minor expense. Think of it this way, nobody seems to think it is odd for someone making a moderate salary like $100k a year to risk a $34k car by driving it at the limits. This car represents roughly 1/3 of this persons annual earnings. To somebody making $800k a year (a pretty moderate earning level among owners of such exotic cars), a $200k Ferrari only represents 1/4 of a years income. Why do people assume the Ferrari owner is going to be so unwilling to drive his car aggressively, but the low income individual will drive his car like it's expendable?

If you go back to your thread about that, you'll see that the same fool posted BS about your run too. Most of his posts seem to aim at bringing down the S2k's ability to do anything.
Anyway, are you really gonna be in town for Mardi Gras?

A Ferrari 360 Spider got CRUNCHED in the same spot I was running the Spider.
