Maybe he wasn't using the whole rev range. It is tough to go from a 6K redline car to a 9K redline car and push it all the way without thinking something is going to break. The SC S2K should have still pulled on the stage 1 WRX. Stage 4 is a much different story. About the person talking about price differnce and what you could have done to the WRX...yada, yada. How much to change the ugly looks, cheesy interior, etc.. You don't buy a S2K for all out speed, otherwise you would be in a SVT Cobra or Sti.

 

He knows how to use the whole power range...trust me, ive ridden with him in it....he raced an SS camaro the day after we got it, would have taken the camaro, but we gave up becaues we were coming into side streets...we were all over the camaros ass up until he let off

I believe WRX makes less power to the wheel because of it all wheel drive. If it not a standing the s2000 should have higher advantage. I was reading on article in some tuner mag that only makes 170 to the wheel. Even with light mods the power gain was not much. I think downpipe is the best mod beside upgraded turbo.

 

A WRX w/ turbo back exhaust and boost controller should be pretty close to a stock S2000 from a roll.

 

or, the utec, full turbo back and the boost controller...that would walk away from an s2000

 

I have a full turboback and unichip set at 16psi in 4th gear. Don't know if my car will walk away from an S2k.... since I've never raced an S2k. Friend took me out for a spin in ITR and it was amazingly fun! loved its raw power and engine screaming at 8krpm! Loved it a lot more than RSX Type-S I've test driven.
