I would have to say that would be quite clearly a drivers race. Gearing would be the only other real factor involved I can think of and I don't know enough about the vetts gearing to say if there is an advatage or not.
How about a bolt on 01 Ap1 with 220hp/145tq to the wheels w/4.33 gears, against a stock 07 porche boxter S?

From a stop, if the driver of the WRX is any good, you have very little to no chance of catching up. Form a roll you should pull him. A WRX with those mods is only making around 170-180whp and he's got about 300-400 more lbs to pull than you do, plus he has 4 wheels to power vs your two. When i had my WRX with those mods (plus a piggy back), i got walked by a stock AP1 from a 30mph roll.
my stock turbo'd 2002 wrx puts out 240whp/270tq with intake, header, uppipe, dp, catback, Cobb AP protuned (before the tune i had 240/240). i easily walk s2000 from a roll. And i totally kill it from a dig.
An NA S will have a hard chance keeping up with a modded wrx and especially a modded sti/evo. Thats why when i get my s2000 i'm going turbo real quick.

Damn that sucks. So today my friend stopped by while I was at work with his 1994 RX-7 he just bought today and he asked me if I wanted to race. I told him I would only race him from a roll, and he said alright. Luckily I didn't drive my S2000 to work instead I drove my Prelude. So I guess I might need some mods to beat him or keep up with him. lol...

Just want to see if the results were average. My car feels slower lately.
97ish Mustang GT with at least an exhaust
vs
02 S2000 - 18" wheels, HKS exhaust, top up
The light turned green and we both rolled off. At 10 mph, we both mashed, but he my bumper was to his door. It took forever to get to VTEC in 1st and at I believe until the end of 3rd, there was 1/2 car between our bumpers.
I would have kicked the clutch in 1st, but I need to change the diff fluids and didn't want to risk it.
