hahahahahaha a friend of mine just asked if I would race him if he bought a lancer (non evo) gts and he said it would be "a hell of a race"...i told him I was 95% sure they have under 200hp and he said that he would win because it has a 2.4l and mine supposedly has a 2.0, wrong,i have an ap2. Then he tried to claim the 0-60 time is 5.8 seconds. I googled it: 168hp, even less torque. 0-60 of either 7.7 or 7.8. Made me laugh.

 

Tell him you'll race him without even turning VTEC on.

 

well I'm thinking about encouraging him to buy it so I can kick some ass...apparently the dealer told him the fake 0-60 time. I told him that unless the dealer himself personally turbo'd and tuned it himself he had no chance. He thought I was serious and said "oh maybe that's it...."..some people are not very smart lately.

 

what is the average trap speed for an 06 STi with exhaust, cat and Cobb Stage 2?

If its a stock vs stock, we s2k owners should expect our car to be losing drag races MOST of the time... sad truth, but HEY! we'll get em on the twisties!

 

i just raced my MY03 ap1 all stock, with a friends MY05 ap2 with K&N intake and a skunk 2 exhaust, 17 inch enkei rpf1.

We raced twice, in 3rd gear first and then in 2nd gear, both 20mph rolling start, and I won twice, first by a nose, then by half a car.

Definitely, FI is the way

 

Had a conversation with a really nice VW guy at the bar last night. He's got a new R32... 2009 I think. How would my stock '03 fare against him? I know they give up a lot in weight.
