since i just got the car, i havent really tried that yet. id prob just race him from a roll. i tried the downshift to 2nd at 45 and good lord that was awesome.

Anyway, I'm not sure if someone has made this comparison already since I haven't read everyone's quotes, but:

Chrysler 300 SRT8



I raced some Mexican guy's 300 SRT8 and honestly burned him from 0 - 60 mph all the way to at least a few feet above 1/4 mile. When we stopped at a red light, his friend rolled the front-passenger window down and said in a really horrible 'gangster-wannabe' accent, "You're lucky we have our music on full blast or we would've burned you, kid." The funny thing was that they didn't have a sound system, so they can't complain that their car weighs more than a stock SRT8 would.
I see them every now and then driving on the opposite street as me and I know eventually we will meet again at a signal to race, but I'm not sure if it was just luck that I burned 'em or the S2000 is faster than the Chrysler 300 SRT8.
What do you guys think?

Was it an AWD 300 srt8? They're actually slower than the RWD even from a dig cause of drivetrain loss.

Those cars run low 13 second quarter mile times stock. Stock s2ks run high 13s to low 14s. Either he was messing with you or he sucked ass with his automatic driving skills. Having a passenger in those cars don't really slow them down either... they have a buttload of torque.

He probably meant that he didn't hear you "Go" when he said his stereo was on so he went late. From a roll, they have taller gears than us and their third gear pulls like crazy.

 

IDK whether or not his car was AWD or RWD, but we basically took off at the same time.

 

u got lucky than. i stock 07 should get eaten by a srt8 in the straight line.

How do you guys think a 350 whp kw sc 07 S with 4.3 gears would do in a roll from 30-120 against a c6? and the new M3?

 

the vette and m3 will leave you behind. the m3 and vette are top end monsters

 

Very well. At those speeds I'd say a toss up, if anything the BWM would be the one falling short in that race
