^^^ s2k hands down. This is assuming both drivers get a fair start and run well.

400whp would be a bit more interesting of a race.

I assume your talking about a rolling race/freeway speed? From a dig a bike will take it every time no matter how much hp your making.

you told a cop that you were street racing? and that you were going faster than what he clocked you at? say goodbye to your rights!!!

so how badly would I get pooped on by a stock evo 10 in a stock ap2? If the evo was running at stock psi.

In stock form Evo 10's are not that quick at all. If he's really 100% stock, it's already going to be a good run with a stock S2000 from a roll. They are really only like 99-102 mph trap cars. A good driver in the S2000 should be pretty much even IMO.

Obviously his car is going to take to bolt-ons better. But stock vs stock there's not much difference in straight line acceleration between the two cars.

I have a friend who owns a couple really fast cars and races pretty often. He owns a modded 9 second Evo 9, and a 10 second VW GTI MK4.

About a year ago he purchased an Evo 10 to make his next project car. But he took it to the track with like 2,000 miles on the clock just to see what it would do stock.

13.8@101mph, no BS.

I couldn't believe it! My s2000 ran a better time when I was stock.

So I think it would be closer then you think.

^ yup, and they're the heaviest year evo.

but they do respond pretty crazy with just a tune

and stop with the g35 vs 2000 talk. s2000 takes the cake every time.

lol well i'm not entirely sure because my friend just got a g35 coupe with bolt ons. i didn't know evos aren't that fast stock, i guess all the hype is just about how well the engine can take the beating of ridiculously high psi settings on the boost with little mods. their rear differentials and axles must be pretty solid to withstand that, i know if people turbo s2k's even at low psi's at least a differential and maybe a tranny upgrade are needed.

Yeah, they can hold ridiculous amounts of power with a lot of their stock components. No doubt about that. They are one of the most mod friendly cars on the market IMO. The combination they have going on can surely be made into an incredibly fast car.

I don't have a video (rare) but I also use to own a 2004 G35 coupe (the one with 280chp - AKA slowest 6 speed G they made back in '04). And this same Evo 10 I was telling you about played around with me on the street one night. Just a quick little 2nd and 3rd gear roll, nothing serious, just fun... and he couldn't even shake my G dude! I'm serious. I was laughing my ass off! Here I am driving my daily driver stock G35 coupe around heading out to a movie with my girl, and the latest 'race-bread' Evolution can't even shake me. Definitely was a head shaker for me too at first.

They're just not that quick, stock.
