s2k vs gst eclispe
I was just wondering. How would a stock 02 s2k do against the old curvy body Eclispe Gst, the year of the gst should be around 93-95?? *shrugS* anyways he has intake and blow-off and thats it but he is going to get an exhaust and downpipe soon... please leave any replys on how you think this race would go thanks

the s2k should win no problem even with those mods... but once you put more boost into the mix those cars can be very fast... look for a boost controller just to make sure he isn't pulling your chain....but then again if his onl visable mods are intake and BOV then i'm sure he isn't... hands down to the s2k

Stock for stock you should have no problem with him. His intake and dp won't be enough to beat an S2K. The T25 turbo on the 2G eclipse just runs out of breath too quickly, it's good for mid-high 13's but that's about it. Tell him to get an upper ic pipe, boost controller, and a 16g turbo and then you'll have something to worry about.
edit: oops I just noticed you are talking 1st gen eclipse...it has the 14b turbo which is definitely better than the T25, but still with his light mods you shouldn't have a problem.

well if it were the "curvy body" that would have to be the 95-99. i cant really see a 1g as being "curvy." anyway as mentioned has the T-too-small. though rather than getting a 16g which requires a kit, for 2nd gens, you can just bolt up a T28. (just like bolting up a 16g to a 1st gen).
as for the race though, stock gst's and very lightly modded gst's dont hold much to the heavily factory tuned s2000. but most moderately modded dsms (new turbo and supporting mods) will give it a good run for its money.

i don't know 2 much about mr2 except that they can be made wicked fast... i'd say an s2k could beat the one you stated if i knew how much boost he was running...

S should win, but once that Mitsu gets more boost, S has zero chance. I was in my friends Roush stang and we ran a GSX(AWD Turbo) boosting 27 psi and he missed second gear and was still next to us till 80! The trannies are garbage on those cars though, they cannot handle the extra boost just like our differentials cannot handle extra power.
