stock Z06 vs 618rwhp Viper
#11
Good kill. My guess is either your car is making 100rwhp over stock (as you even said highly unlilkly) or maybe he had a slipping belt as there is no way a stock Z06 could beat a viper with ~100rwhp more and approximatly the same weight all things being equal / known (hp in this case).
I think if you can afford a Z06, you should get it dynoed to put to rest the possibly "factory freak" claim with fact
Either way, love z06's, I'll def own one at some point in my life (AND a viper, so sick....)

Dude, you're cool, and you've got a fast car, but PLEASE buy a $100 professional camera mount, it'll make these videos a million times more pleasing.
OK, sorry for the rant, great kill .

S2kguy...please immediately send me the link to this professional camara mount that can self adjust to the movement of the other car...because obviously it can toggle and adjust to the speed of the other car...
This page specifically...

All you have to do is leave the camera slightly loose, and slowly twist it in the direction the opposing car goes (ahead or behind). Of course, you need a passenger to do this for you, but your viddy was taken by a passenger, so it's a non-issue.

sorry, i do this every weekend. its called "the roll ons"
you had a HUGE jump on him. thats called jumping in someones lap.
im not hating, i could care less. i love new Z06's and always vote that direction in a Z vs Viper race. but its way apparent, you two werent even lined up. no 3 honks, nothing. you started at his tail, and nailed it, then he nailed it. i watched plenty of times. close run though.

SC cars always have problems with heat soak and belt slippage. At that exact time, he might have been making 550 instead of 618. Combine that with the fact that you got the jump and he isnt a great driver, its certainly possible.
