Default Supra TT goes down

I was coming home the other day in my lightning, when I saw a Supra getting on the highway. It had some HIDs and my friend in the truck with me was like wow, go race it. When I finally got next to him, I paced him for a while and then punched it. To my surprise 120 came up, and I was still in front. I knew his was trying cause I could hear his loud ass BOV. My Lightning is not stock and dynoed at 397 rwhp. I also have and S, and while I wish I could beat the Supra in the S(which I tried already)and its not going to happen with out FI. At least taking that car out in my truck will do for now.

Sweet run...Im just curious when or what mph does the Lightning start to top out at? I test drove a few and to be honest I wasnt very impressed with it in stock form Im not bashing just my experience with them, keep in mind I was driving a very modified MR2 at the time (600 hp capability)

I really want a truck and have been keeping my eye on the Lightning but I also like the WRX Sti. Now if Ford comes out with the Lightning with that GT40 motor in it I would have to seriously consider it.

Was the Supra catching up at all? I wonder if he was stock with a BOV? Supras on the freeway are crazy fast when modded.

Top speed on the Lightning is 140, but it will pull hard up to 120. That's when 3rd gear is over. The Supra was on my blind spot all the way. It did not look stock, it also had a bodykit. All I could see was an exhaust on it. I'm sure he would of caught up when the truck shifted to 4th. The L is great a the strip, but sucks on the highway. When it was stock I would not race it, but they gain a lot of hp from a few bolt ons. I'm just waiting on the 04 model 500+hp, its not bad for a daily driver.

LOL...Its not bad for a daily driver as long as you have a close drive for work. Im about 25 miles one way to work, its not alot but whats the gas mileage 12-15??

So have they decided to make the 500 hp model? I guess I should go to Fseries.com havent been there in a while.
