Turbo Kit: SpeedCraft with fuel managemeny with the eManage, and boost controller is the e-01.

Dyno #'s: We did our first round of tuning and hit 265. We had some really hot conditions and the car was really hot after 8-10 pulls, waiting for it to cool down between runs was costing me money. I'm probably going to take the car back for another round of tuning to see if we can get some better results. I'm not trying to get better peak HP, just the power above 6K wasn't as good as it should be. So, right now, the car feels about as quick above 6K as the SC was. Down low it's considerably faster than the SC, completely different. This will last me for a few weeks until I can get it back on the dyno.

Ezra, the owner of the truck was CRX-rated from ICCH...I sold him my old 550cc injectors, so I sorta know him. He didn't drive because his license was suspended, his buddy drove the car.

Wes, there are too many damn modded F250 Power Stroke turbodiesels to know which are stock and which aren't. I raced one in the minivan, and took it to about 125mph when I finally killed it; the race was dead even and we were both still pulling pretty hard.

The most recent race was in the E55. We were both in line to pass an 18-wheeler on I-45. We finally got past and the F250 decided to stay in the fast lane. It was floored, obvious from the black plumes of smoke. He accelerated hard from 50 to 70mph, 100, 115mph, and crept more slowly up to 135mph, as I casually followed behind. When he finally pulled into the slow lane, I pulled alongside, matched his speed, threw him a and proceeded to leave his ass behind.

Moral of the story: F250 turbodiesels can be quick AND fast. If I just barely kept up with the first F250 while in the van, I think my S2000 would've lost.

How the hell do you know? You never know what the other guy is running. I got a friend that ran a 14.0 flat yesterday in his MKIV. Did I tell you he traped 121MPH?

Another moral: "Never underestimate your opponets."

Wow, can someone show me what kind of mods you can get for a damned F-250? Maybe going the truck route would be an option after all...

Truck mods... I heard Ford and Dodge have detund their trucks computers in order to keep people form blowing the tranmissions and breaking various parts. You can get a superchip for a dodge or ford turbo diesel for $400-$500 and it will give 60rwhp and 80+rwtq with a super agressive tune. They also make a propane / nitrous setup, catbakcs, and air intakes for the pick ups.

because something about a van and a full size turbo desiel 4 door dooley being able to spank a sports car is unsettling.

Oh, that. This minivan is powered by a ~400fwhp VG30DETT (300ZX TT). And the truck I raced was a 4x4 F250 PowerStroke V8 (not a dually).

You live in Houston, you should know there ARE fast turbodiesel pickups.

EDIT: You were behind Wes when his "sports car" (turbo S2000) lost to the truck. So you, of all people, should believe.

BTW, my mom's van (even with several passengers) can outrun my S2000 from a 50mph roll.

Embarrassing.
