Jason, I found out the rattle doent come from the crossbar, its from the joint thats connected to the cross bar on the driver side....however if I press against the crossbar whenever it rattles, it stops instantly. Do you think its the same problem??

I would say so, because when I pushed up on the that center bar, it stopped it as well. After the dealer lubed that piece up after taking the plastic and screw out, it fixed it.

Hey guys I fixed it!!!!!!

I took the screws off from both side, took the plastic piece off as well, lube the screw, put some grease inside the plastic piece(didn't do this first time), put it back and the darn rattle is gone!!!!!

You have to check and try to lower the top after you put the plastic piece back on. The bottom part of the plastic piece covering a bigger screw. Try and lower the top(half way), the plastic piece should stay intack and palarale with the bar, sometimes the bottom part pop off, but the screw still holding the piece together on the top. You need to take the piece off again(while the top still staying on the half way) and put it back 'till it palarale with the metal bar it's covering. Then put the top back up, and check to see if the screw has losen, tighten it up, lower the top halft way to check again and you're done!

Thanks a lot guys!

I lubed it with the gun grease called "Terra Gun Grease". It is a white grease, out grown from NASA program, the best gun grease IMO. It works very well with all my guns, won't extrack dust, water, and gun powder, and still stay intack even the gun gets really hot after extensive fired, so I figured it should work well with our top that has a finish like a gun too!

Another one that I lightly spray on every joint of the top is a dry gun lube from Armalite. They made a killer sniper rifle. The lube is clear, but will be completely dry after a few second and leaves the slick, Teflon-coat-like on the surface . I just lightly spray in to all the joints, and wipe off some extensive drip, works like a charm!

You might be able to find it in your local gun shop. It's cold here today and my top is silence........

Hope this help.

I had the same problem, but my noise was coming from where the two two parts of the frame come in contact when the top is closed. On the picture below it is the black colored piece that is vertical in the bottom left corner of the picture. When closing the top, I slipped a piece of napkin in between the two parts of the frame and the noise went away completely. I then took it to the dealer and they fixed the noise for about 1 month, but it is back again. GRRRRRRRR........
