I just visited a local dealer here and noticed an '02 silver/black at MSRP. That is almost unheard of down in this part of the state. They also had an '01 black/red demo with less than 3000 miles. I don't know what they are asking for that one. I bought mine in San Diego 2 years ago and paid $3 grand over for it. I haven't regretted paying over MSRP for a second. If I had been patient perhaps I could have found one for less but I would have sacraficed driving time in the most exciting car I have ever owned.

i do have two comments.

1) i never cease to be amazed at how dealerships can call a car with that many miles (3,000) a demo as opposed to being used. i know it's probably technical legalize (read: legal bullshit) that allows them to do this because the car has never been titled but come on. i am almost certain that any 3,000 mile demo car is trashed way worse than a 3,000 mile used car.

2) el centro - damn talk about BFE. i drove out there about a month ago for the blue angels first event of the season. that place is way, way out in the middle of nowheresville.

 

There are some dealers here in LA that will do MSRP as well...
