aftermarket is completely irrelevant

not to mention that in addition to a s/c + install + possible tuning, you will need stronger driveline parts
Chill dude. I was just adding that I too wanted a little more horsepower out of the "S" and the aftermarket was an economical way to go. Also FYI it cost me about 5K and that included the install ($4,400 4 the kit + $650 4 the install). I have not added any additional driveline parts and have not had a problem. I have a friend with the same setup for 2.5 years and he has never had a problem. If u use the added HP correctly and know its limits u can enjoy the added HP and not worry about the rest of the car. I was just giving u my 2 cents in regards to your comment about wishing 4 more HP. Peace.

As a current vette owner (96 LT4), I can vouch for the gas mileage. I get about 18 in town and up to 27 on the highway, but I'm looking for an s2k. The vette is fast and furious, but a handful. My old Miata was more fun. I figure the s2k gives the best of both at a reasonable price and Honda quality/reliability.

no regrets here.. however i do have a z06 too.. love em both.. love the top down on the s.. but the torque on the z.. WOW.. mine is modded pretty heavily.. and a great scca racer..
i wish the s2k had a little more interior stow and storage space.. for a daily driver. .. hate puttting stuff in the trunk.. just a hassle..
but overall ..
love the car.

there seems to be a lot of Z06 and s2k comparison on this board.. in a nutshell.. i think both the zo6 owner and the honda owner .. have a lot in common.. fun to drive.. great head turner.. track days.. scca autox's..

i can speak on both.. some here bash the z.. and none bash the s..

LOL

but.. all in all.. they are pretty equal.. the s gets more nods.. with top down..
the z ..gets more respect from the car boys in town..
they are both fun as hell to drive..

my silverado gets more attention than both of them.. well.. here in west virginia.. the 20's look cool

i cant bash either car.. i just have a hell of a time in the morning deciding what to drive to work.. LOL
i want to kick you in the balls
