So we're not getting an F1 derived V-10?..... darn.
It's actually gonna be a 3.0 liter 90 degree V8 with 320 hp @ 8,900 rpm and 280 ft lbs of torque at 7,500. Redline is 9,500 rpm. 0-60 times with the reconfigured gearbox are speculated to be around 4.3 seconds. Top speed is estimated to be 185 mph.

6 cylinder? Stability control? Navigation?

Common guys...seriously. That stuff doesn't belong in a true sports car.

...Well, I guess you could make a case for a defeatable stability control system in the high-powered exotics. To keep the guys with more money than common sense from sending their cars into the farmer's corn field.

It would be nice if Honda had a car that could hang with a 911, that cost less than the 911. The NSX is cool but way too much money. The should have something in the price range of a corvette. I am happy with my S. There are so many people who put 10-15k into their S. The base price of a new vette is around 45K. It would be nice to see some choices from Honda. A vette is really not my style but if their was a honda for less than 60K that could kill a 911, I would order one today.

What I would like to see is an S2000 that weighs about 2500-2600lb instead of 2800+ and maybe another 15-20 normally aspirated hp.

What we need is an S3000 with a 3.0L inline 6 or V6 with about 300 to the flywheel and a totally new body style.
The original concept introduced in '95 used a revised I5 of 2.5L from the Acura Vigor. It put down 300 hp through a sequential box.

Why hasnt anyone said anything about the crappy seats in the S? They offer zero support in even mild cornering situations. If I could take the viper seats from my previous SRT4 and stuff them into the S, Id be that much happier.

And a small turbo on this car from the factory would have been awesome, awe-inspiring and last but not least, devistating to the competition.

even though this car doesnt have much torque, it still picks up ok. I traded in my SRT4 on my S and the only dislike I have are the seats. The speed thing is obvious...my mildy modded SRT4 would have completely destroyed my stock S now, but on a positive note the S is ten times funner to drive.

So if anything, if they wouldnt consider factory boost, they should at least give back the lost 1000 rpms AND keep the current torque curve applicable but if nothing else, ditch those stupid non bolsterous seats for some real seats. I hate having to push my knees into the door or the center console to keep from sliding around when cornering.

not to mention: much more reliable, a much more respectable car, and screaming 9k
