If the spacers in the springs weren't removed at the dealership could they cause this sort of problem?

Just a couple of thoughts:

Have you modified the front end of the car, for example by cutting out the faux vents? If you have a grill over the radiator opening, could it have an aero lift effect at speed?

Aerodynamics at high speed is certainly a consideration.

I have the Mugen 3 piece spoiler, which is supposed to add another 200lbs. of downforce. Mine isn't installed, so ask Greg Stevens or Gregg how his is at speed.

My car gets floaty too. Lowered cars aren't going to get as floaty, I've experienced this. Cars in general create lift, so even though the alignment and tire pressure are going to affect the cars ability to stick on the ground and how it reacts at speed, its going to have little effect on how 'floaty' the car might feel.

That's my take, but even though its not installed yet, I vouch for the Mugen 3 piece spoiler or one of the big racing spoilers that are adjuable.

hard rubber in the rear, as in less sticky than soft rubber? hmmm
and like utah said, tire pressure is very important.

i "know" a guy that's been over 150 with the top down, no problems sticking till hitting a small bump made him lift out of his seat

On our Irvine run, I got as high as 125 with the top down and the car felt very stable. I know of someone else that got as fast as 135 and he was stable too. Wonder if it was just the road conditions or something.

I have been at 138 with the top down on a slight downgrade. Absolutely solid as a rock. I have the flaps on my MY 2001.

I've seen 115 with the top down and passenger in car, going around a sweping right hander bend. I've never felt so stable in my life......car felt like it was trying to tell me "is that all you have?"

I've also seen 152 with top up, riding solo. Car was also stable as a rock there too.

Not sure what's up with your car. Did they put the CORRECT OEM S02's on your car?

At over 130 mph, how many had a rear spoiler?
