My old man used to have two GTOs, first a '64 and then a '69. He always is telling people about how his '64 was the fastest car he's ever driven (0-60 in 4.0).

My 1st choice is the NSX. Other cars I considered were the Boxster, BMW 540.
The S2000 was my number 2 choice after the NSX but now that I have it I love it and for my other car I would love to keep the S2000 and get a new turbo 911 or an NSX (but not planning on this unless the stock market goes back up in a big, big way! - maybe when I am 90!).

Honda S2000 in black OR BMW M Roadster in Atlanta Blue. I couldn't find a reasonable price on the black S2000, and the M Roadster costs more per horsepower than the S2000. I settled on a showroom floor 2000 model S2000 in red.
