I was getting the oil changed at the dealership the other day and walked under the car while they had it on the lift. As I was looking at the exhaust system I noticed a small (6" - 8") portion of pipe sticking out perpendicular to the rest of the exhaust. It was capped off at the end. I think it was after the cat, but not sure.

Is this normal? What is it? any thoughts?

 

Normal, this pipe helps 'tune' the sound of our exhaust systems.
