its a F22C with J's racing N1 ECU. does anyone know if the N1 ECU allows you to rev to 9k? with all the carbon parts, gutting of interior, and removal of gas tank the car only weighs 980kg from a previous 1180kg. Under drivers impression, he said compared to the normal ap1 this car has a much higher turn in speed and that he was able to hit some turns one gear higher. <---maybe this was due to the new lsd and 4.4 gears.

maybe it would make more sense if i could post pics of the article, but then again not everyone on the board can read japanese

I've had both cars and I like my 04 better... my 00 made 192 rwhp, my 04 makes 218 on the same dyno. *shrug*
Is it just me or do you mention how much power your 04 makes in every thread you respond in?

Read again please. Swapped his AP1 "drivetrain" for the newer AP2 "drivetrain". Where does it say he swapped the chassis?
If he had a "vintage style s2k" drivetrain to start with, that suggests to me he also had an '00-'03 chassis to start with as well. Therefore, swapping "his" F20C drivetrain for "a" newer F22C1 drivetrain suggests, again to me, that his older style AP1 chassis now has a new F22C1 engine.

The real question, IMO, is what does the J's Racing N1 ECU do? And how much is it? Time to do some web searching...

exactly! maybe its possible with the N1 ECU to rev the 2.2l to 9k without major internal work. maybe its wishful thinking, but until someone proves this wrong thats what i'm hoping.

I expect an F22C will run with an older ECU or aftermarket unit. I expect it'll rev to 9K.

What I don't know, and what I hoped this thread was about, is if it will last. You can buy an 04 and put in an 03 ECU and claim it works, but if it throws a rod after 2500 miles did it really work?
