2.2L Engine swap
The AP2 does not read to 9. It reads to 8.2.
The shift beeper would be fine IMO. I'm so trained to shift at 8.2 that it will be strange to rev all the way up to 9 anyway. At least at first...
I think I will set my shift beeper at 8.7.

Yea but any car has a redline but shows more rpms. You tune the car with an ems and youre gonna be reving higher, therefore the cluster will let you go to 9 cuz the car has been tuned....... B16 civic Si revs to 8200 but shows like 9000 rpms on the cluster. you chip it and now the needle goes to 9... I m assuming same with the s2

i havn't been to the honda world long, but in my experience, the reason of an engine swap is either gaining engine durability (ie. stronger internals), or higher power output.
in this case, swaping a 2.2 into an 00-03 will result in no gain on both... so what is the point of the motor swap other than having a different motor and bleed your wallet?

If you read the whole post, you would see that he's not doing an engine swap. He has access to several 2.2L motors and 3 00-03 Chassis (without motors). Read the whole thread before you post.

Just to stay on topic and recap the thread.....
The original 2.2 AP1 car is doing well, no issues.
The 2nd 2.2 AP1 car was doing great until it was totalled. The 2nd car saw 9k constantly.
I'll find out how many miles he logged on the swap.
